We are looking for a talented lawyer to be based in our Shanghai （Jing’an District） office to support our business in China, which includes but not limited to M&A, business development, legal documents （contracts, MOU, etc.） negotiation, draft an d review, employment disputes’ resolution, etc. of 3rd party accreditation, certification, inspection an d consulting services.This is a generalist role, an d you will be expected to take day-to-day responsibility for all legal needs of our main business streams, supporting functions in China, an d you may be tasked to support corporate legal an d global business stream team members. Therefore, you must have the technical skill, experience an d business acumen to handle a wide range of issues including M&A, contracts, biddings, employment, e-commerce, data protection, IP an d other issues that may arise from time to time.To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable with working in an ever-changing, yet very fast-paced, environment an d be able to solve complex problems using creativity an d practicality.This position reports to Regional Legal Officer of Greater China in Beijing. Being the Senior Legal Conusel *Draft, review an d revise contract/bidding documents an d other legal documents for complicated commercial/M&A projects to provide timely legal support to different internal business streams an d functions*Provide corporate governance services to internal domestic/international entities*Assist in internal policies-making, improvement an d deployment*Lead internal legal project cross functions an d keep good good communication with different stakeholders*Support dispute resolutions in the areas of contract dispute, employment, etc.*Develop standardized legal document templates for further internal reference*Conduct legal trainings to management team & internal business streams an d functions*Identify potential legal risk areas of the company to provide improvements*Benchmark with industrial/domestic an d international legal practice to keep legal team abreast to new laws, regulations an d trends for better legal service*Coordinate with external resources for complicated legal services*Provide daily legal advice an d capable to conduct legal research an d analysis on complicated legal issues*Team player, good communication skills with fast-learning capability
*Take reasonable business trips an d can handle mutil-assigments with pressures
Key competencies Compulsory*Advanced University degree in Law （e.g. LLB, LLM）.*4 years passed Chinese bar at least.*More than 8 years experience in the area of Legal advisory, counseling within a government agency, law firm, and/or in-house legal department.]*An employment within a multi – international company more than 3 years.*Excellent interpersonal an d communication skillsLanguage Skills: *Native Mandarin *Fluent English skills are essential. Abilities*Understands the interrelationship of financial acＣounting an d business law*Understands the legal dimension of employee/employer relationships within the region an d ensures compliance to these obligations*Understands the processes, methods an d challenges of civil litigation*Develops methods for supporting innovation an d change across the organization
Plus*Working experience outside of China is preferable. *Proven ability to build up effective relationships across boundaries （business an d region） within the company an d with clients.*Famillar with IFIA, UN Global Compact, Compliance relevant law an d regulations. *Famillar with 3rd party testing, inspection an d certification business process. *Reporting Line *Reports to Regional Legal Officer of Greater China
Location:*Position will based in Shanghai but will travel to branches in Greater China Region
